After bad publicity (weather events, etc.), most people stay away from the affected area, opening up travel deals that are a “win-win” for both you and the local tourism industry. Adam Jusko of ProudMoney.com (https://www.ProudMoney.com) talks about it in this video, which was inspired by Credit Shifu’s video about traveling during hurricane season — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIMyNnQIVEY&t=314s

Remember the Carnival Cruise problems of 2012 or so? My family did a week cruise with them in 2013 from Spain to France to Italy. $490 per person.

Yep, I got my Hawaii cruise booked while it was discounted on peak news coverage. It's a win win for everyone.
