Thank you for previewing Google's flight portal. I had just seen that recently. 🙂

CJ says:

Another thing I keep in mind is the prices of departing and arriving at certain airports. For example I'm planning a trip to Kyoto, Japan but the closest airports to Kyoto are all in Osaka and there are three airports! Depending on which destination airport I pick the price changes (but so does the traveling time between airport and Kyoto).
It can also be cheaper take a bus or drive to an airport in another state/province/prefecture to depart from rather than the closest airport to you. It can be time consuming, but money saving.

love google.flights

Anna Ewing says:

I love Google Flights, I rarely have the extra cash to go on trips but I get my momentary fix by planning my would-be itineraries in Google docs and it's such an easy tool to use.

otterley _ says:

I use the Skyscanner app. It’s good for UK/Europe flights but not sure about rest of the world. I’m too scared to go long haul.

lowerstreet says:

I've been using Google Flights for the first time this week. At first, I was excited about the flight tracking feature with the neat graph. But I realized it's actually not very accurate. Going directly to the airline's websites and checking the fares showed that it sometimes didn't show the cheapest fares, or it stated the price had increased/decreased when it hadn't.

JoiIsakYT says:

Searching in a incognito (privet) browser window helps too because sometimes the sights can track you and raise prices according to your recent search for the same flight 5min later even when it's the same price in the privet browser window.

Daniel Kwasny says:

Best flight secret i've found: If you have some amount of time, look into booking a close-by, third destination other than your origin or destination, often called a stopover. A lot of sites refer to this as a "multi-city" itinerary. You have to play around with destinations if you already have a trip planned but not booked. In many cases for as little as $50 more than your original ticket you can travel somewhere else! I was able to add Las Vegas onto my Atlanta to Cleveland ticket for a piddly $60 extra. What a great end to "Thanksgiving Break" ha!

Karla Oliva says:

Thanks I learned something from this video I’m excited to try 😊
