This channel is about the duo, Damon Dominique (Damon) and Joanna Franco (Jo), who together make @damonandjo. We got tired of all those cheesy travel shows, so we made one for our generation. We teach you how to sound cooler when speaking languages. We backpack on a budget. We question the status quo. We Shut Up and Go.

So y’all wanna know how to travel the world. And we wanna help you. The good news: it’s really not hard.

Wait, we take that back.

It’s only hard (and expensive) if you’re a high-maintenance person –
which is unnecessary, and a block that’ll keep you from doing cool things in your life and meeting cool people from around the world. Yeah you may have a snorer in your 8-bed hostel dorm one night, or a 5 hour layover in a janky airport. W-h-a-t-e-v-e-r. You’ll have the time of your life (and more money in your pocket).

Based on our past experiences, here’s everything we know about traveling cheaply.

In five minutes.

I swear by Skyscanner! And bookairfare.com. Thank you for the info!

Fernanda Luísa says:

Hey guys, the cheapest flights that appear on Skyscanner are really restrict with the luggage. What do you do? Choose another class? And if not, which luggage do you travel with?

Luca says:

High School classifies as "student" right? (Obviously im under 26… haha) also, completely unrelated, but do you have any tips to travel alone underage??? Well… not necessarily alone but with no one over 18; my parents are super ok with me traveling alone or with friend cuz I guess I'm responsible and I can take care of myself you know… but apparently u can't even book a hostel bed or hotel, or anything if you're underage and frankly there are some places were clubs and bars are half of the itinerary!? Being the guy that always stays sober (or almost) and takes care of the drunk friends I know better than to get ducked up every night in a shitty bar u know but a couple of beers or a club now and then makes every trip better (vale dizer que sou brasileiro mas tenho passaporte italiano se ajudar… vou essa semana p Inglaterra, França, suica e norte da Itália e ouvi dizer que eles são mais tranquilos nos bares etc em Londres mas igual fica a pergunta pras viajeis a seguir)
Ps: vcs são FODAAAS!!!

SaraZwink says:

I "worked" at a hostel once in Lisbon, all I had to do was set up breakfast (I.e. put out cereal/bread/etc and brew coffee) and greet the guests for breakfast (which hello, I loved meeting people so that was awesome!) and I got to stay there for free – easiest 4 hours of my life working per day 😂

GiihBan says:

Lola Sophie says:

Hâte de pouvoir appliquer tous ces conseils parce que pour l'instant j'ai que 16 ans donc impossible de le faire !
